Registration in the foyer, coffee on the Magistrale, then theatre seating for up to 300 people in front of the built-in LED wall. Daylight through the factory windows keeps people awake where darkened conference rooms send them to sleep.
A break worth having
The kitchen is in the same building — lunch arrives on time and hot. While people eat, the room can be reset in the background for the afternoon format.
From plenary to small groups
The six boxes slide out and become rooms for workshops, break-out sessions or conversation islands. One auditorium turns into six working areas — no downtime, no second venue.
And when the official part ends, the conference becomes the evening: the seating disappears, the bar in one of the boxes opens, the patio heaters come on outside. Those who want to stay, stay — and that is exactly where the conversations happen that everyone came for.

How many delegates fit in theatre-style seating?
300 people in theatre style, directly in front of the permanently installed LED wall. Classroom seating gives 140 places, and a standing reception afterwards holds 400.
What technology is permanently installed?
An LED wall measuring 5.5 × 3 metres is part of the building — no screen has to be hired and rigged. Trusses, sound and lighting are in place as well. More on the Technology & LED wall page.
Are there rooms for break-out sessions?
That is what the six boxes are for: they move out of the glass facade and become separate areas for workshops, group work or conversation islands — with no break for rebuilding and no second room.
Who takes care of the catering?
The kitchen is in the same building and the cooking is done by METZ Catering + Eventmanufaktur. Lunch arrives on time and warm, while the hall can be rearranged in the background.
How central is Bauwerk?
Koelnmesse is about ten minutes away, and the city centre and main station are close as well. There are parking spaces on site.
